Sam Lauron's professional headshot as a freelance writer.

I’m a freelance writer with over 10 years of experience.

With a background in PR, social media marketing, and editorial writing, I know my way around words.

After working in the media industry for several years, I found my way into the world of content writing as a long-form B2B SaaS content writer.

I work with marketing teams to produce original, data-driven, and educational content for blogs, case studies, newsletters, and thought leadership articles. My work has appeared on some of the most well-known marketing tech websites, including HubSpot, Hootsuite, and Later.

Story-driven and SEO-minded, my writing expertise is in B2B SaaS marketing tech, creator economy, and small business software. I write for an audience of marketers, creators, small business owners, and freelancers.

As a fierce supporter of local media, you’ll also find my byline in Austin publications like CultureMap, Eastside Magazine, and Tribeza.

On a more personal note…

You probably didn’t come to this page looking only for work talk.

I thought I’d share a few fun facts about myself so you can get to know the person behind the screen.

🏡 I grew up in the Austin area, and this city is close to my heart.

👩🏻‍💻 In 2017, I founded a local blog and speaker series that highlighted female business owners in Austin. We also had a book club!

☕️ Throughout the week, I love to switch between working from my home office and from a local coffee shop. (My go-to order is plain black coffee, much to the dismay of my friends and family).

🖼️ I love all things design: interiors, branding, art, fashion; I soak it all up. I even fulfilled my childhood dream by interning at New York Fashion Week years ago!

🛠️ On the weekends, you can find me thrift shopping, working on DIY house projects with my husband, reading a mystery novel, or taking our dog for a looong walk or two at one of our favorite parks.

Enough about me…

A collage of seven photos including: a girl taking a mirror selfie, three women speaking at an art gallery, a man and woman with a dog on stairs, a bookshelves and staircase, a model walking at a fashion show, a woman and dog by a city skyline, and a ceramic mug on books.
